🔄 How to Update FlashForge Firmware

Factory Reset and Logout

Settings → System → Factory Reset. Confirm. Then logout from FlashForge account.

After Reboot, SKIP Calibration

Printer will offer calibration on first boot — press "Skip". We will calibrate later, after update.

Insert USB Flash Drive

USB port is on the SIDE of the screen. USB must be FAT32, .tgz file in root (not folder!).

• 📥 Download AD5M firmware
• 📥 Download AD5M Pro firmware
• 📥 Download Creator 5 firmware

Restart the Printer

Turn off (switch on back), wait 10 sec, turn on. Printer will auto-detect firmware on USB and start update.

Wait for Boot and Update

Progress bar will appear on screen. Process takes 3-5 min. Do NOT turn off!

Remove USB Flash Drive

After update and boot — REMOVE USB. If left in, printer will try to update again.

Restart Printer Again

Turn off and on once more — for clean boot of new firmware.

Login to FlashForge Account

Settings → Account → Login. Use email and password from FlashStudio app.

Calibrate from Printer Screen

Run calibration directly on printer:

• 🔧 Vibration Compensation
• 📐 Auto Bed Leveling
• 🌡️ Temperature Calibration (PID Tuning)

Calibrate as in VK Beginners Chat

Additional steps from community guide:
